Dementors are very real Sancho. They exist all around us, but they hide in common ignorance. It is the easiest place to hide when you know how. The problem is that Hollywood expects you to see dementors as other-than-human, demons, and not like us. Just like the Bible expects you to look for Satan in the form of a snake. Dementors want you to imagine demons when you look for them so you may miss them entirely, but they are everywhere.
The word Dementor comes from Latin. De means “without”, and “ment” means “mental”. So, a dementor will defy reason, they will gaslight and use every tool they can to bring you “out of your mind”.
A dementor is a state of being. It is a demon that can be shapeshifted into by anyone that gives into the weakness of dark magic.
Dementors come from a place of pain and selfishness. Anywhere there is envy, pride, ego, or an imbalance of energies they will be. They will show up in the face of your family and friends. They will show up in your grandparents and children.
All hope is not lost for there are ways to recognize the spirit of dementia brought by dementors.
You must approach this demon with love and care to see it clearly. It will hurt and that is how you know it is a dementor. Creatures all over this world respond to love in a kind way, but a dementor runs on ego and pride and will not. Try to encourage it, and it will spit on you. Try to compliment it, and it will slap you. There is nothing you can do to get love from a dementor. You will know the dementor because they do not receive love.
They will never show a weakness or tear; they have no heart to break. Re-enforcing their own sense of reality is all they are determined to do. They call on the energy of enchanters and enchantresses to paint an image of themselves. They hang it up high and tell you what it means.
This, Sancho, is gaslighting. God gave you your senses so you can discern, so you can recognize and taking that gift away from you is the single greatest joy of the dementor. They want to bring you “out” of your mind and “without reason”. It is then that they have the most power over you.
So, keep hold of your senses. When you see something, know what you have seen. When you hear something, know what you have heard. The simplest way to gaslight anyone is to plant the seeds of doubt in their mind. Before long they won’t even trust their own thoughts and are open to suggestion.
On your journey you will cross many dementors. If they are successful in their conquest of you, you too will be a dementor.
The only true safeguard I can share with you against dementors is to recognize them, then give your attention elsewhere. The dementor grow rapidly if you respond with anger, guilt, sadness, or disgust. It’s power that was once just imaginary becomes real once you respond.
Some quick ways to recognize dementors on the go include the following.
- Show them a dog or kitty.
- People respond adoringly, but dementors will ignore it.
- Show them a project dear to you.
- People encourage and support productivity, dementors will insult it, ridicule or criticize it.
- Tell them you are sick.
- Dementors will pity you, people will pray for and support you.
- Tell them you are weak
- Dementors will confirm this, re-enforce it and try to make you feel it. People will ignore it, encourage you, and strengthen you.
- Tell someone 10 positives and one negative and see what kind of energy they respond to. Dementors will always choose the one negative.
Maybe you wish to have power? You may exercise becoming a dementor and practice it. You will receive power, but it will make you sick. If a loved one becomes a dementor, you can no longer be in a relationship with the dementor unless you want to grow alongside a dementor. There is no future with one.
In recent years dementors have tried to rebrand themselves as narcissist. They changed the name, but they cannot change the spirit. If a spirit demands negative energy. You can bet your sweet donkey it is dementor.
