Think Thrice

There are several ways you should think about what you say. Not everyone thinks about what they say, and it is a travesty. Everyone tells you to think before you speak, but there are more times to think. You should think before you speak, think while you are speaking, and think about what you say afterward. The most important thing is to think before you speak, but seldom do people think after that. They are too busy saying new things to reflect on what was said. Thinking while you speak is very important. This includes reading the room, speaking at…

Dogs Don’t Talk -> Everybody Loves Them

This is not a coincidence, Sancho, and I am glad that you pointed it out. Far too often, people go through their lives running their mouths without realizing they’re ruining their lives. Pay attention to the things people say. Pay attention to the things you say. Most of it will be to establish significance, correctness, or pride. People like to talk about their accomplishments. They also want to feel smart, so correcting people feels good to them. When people want to be admired or accepted, they talk about these things. It is what happens when you give monkeys brains. They…

Bad Medicine

I have been focused on the topic of bad medicine in my life recently. Out in the southwest here, karma is called medicine. Medicine can heal, but bad medicine is poison. Good medicine can be bad medicine if it is not at the right time or in the right amount. The key is to see what heals you, and what kills you. What gives you energy and what makes you lethargic, what makes you love, hate, envy, or adore. Only you can tell what medicine is good or bad, and it is not the same for everyone either. Medicine can…

Spell Casting and the Enchanters

Listen closely Sancho, these words I tell you are a spell. That is why we call it spelling. Every mystic knows that a spell must be cast correctly for magic to occur. It is the same with our words. While I have never really thought of myself as a spell caster, I suppose it is the duty of every modern Knights Errant to use spells to describe the mystical that we experience on our journey. For spells pass on esoteric knowledge. That is what is written between the lines and is no fault of the author for it is where God speaks.…

The Real Danger of Dementors

Dementors are very real Sancho. They exist all around us, but they hide in common ignorance. It is the easiest place to hide when you know how. The problem is that Hollywood expects you to see dementors as other-than-human, demons, and not like us. Just like the Bible expects you to look for Satan in the form of a snake. Dementors want you to imagine demons when you look for them so you may miss them entirely, but they are everywhere. The word Dementor comes from Latin. De means “without”, and “ment” means “mental”. So, a dementor will defy reason, they will…

Study of Burro Dynamics

Sancho Pawza and I came across a tribe of wild burros on our journeys west. As we approached the tribe had never seen a creature like Sancho Pawza and were frightened. They brayed, yelled, and cursed, but we stayed still to show we meant no harm. It was then that Sanch Pawza, having little wit and self-discipline, lunged toward one of the burros. I restrained him, but it was too late. Immediately, the burros, without hesitation, singled out one burro and bit him in the butt to get him running. This burro took off at a full run away from…
